Server Guidelines

English is required during staff situations, but for the most part these are handled outside of the server. You're welcome to speak other languages in character, but don’t abuse it.

You’re expected to have a microphone when playing Oahu Roleplay. Refrain from outputting any background noise, as this might be seen as disturbing and an out-of-character trait.

Voice changers are allowed to a certain extent, your voice must at all times be understandable, and not overly loud, or too quiet. Refrain from changing your voice to be extremely high or low pitched.

Abide by all the following Guidelines & Terms of Services while playing, where Twitch guidelines are important as we often have streamers active:

Attempting to exploit or find loopholes in the rules will result in more punitive action. We understand that rules might be confusing or lacking in-depth detail, but if you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out to a staff member in-game or make use of the support section on the website or Discord.

We want everyone to feel comfortable on our server. Using offensive slurs, hate speech, or disrespectful words is not allowed.

You need a valid and developed reason to harm or kill someone within roleplay. Random acts of violence won’t fly.

Never allowed unless part of a pre-established RP agreement. Everything needs context.

Respect others. No out-of-character toxicity, sexism, racism, etc. We're building a community, not chaos.

Swearing is fine in-character, but abuse, threats, or targeted foul language is not.

Do not act like you're staff. Don't try to police others. Just report and move on.

No cheats, exploits, or bug abuse. Found something broken? Report it on Discord, for that you'll be rewarded.

No ERP (erotic roleplay), no public nudity, and no sexual content. Don’t be weird.

Purposely ruining RP or annoying people is griefing. You will be removed.

If you leave mid-situation or during conflict, expect a ban.

Stay in character until staff intervenes. Do not break roleplay over a rule dispute.

If you're outgunned or threatened, act like a real person would. Don’t try to be a hero with no health and a pistol.

We welcome all RP styles, but don’t force yours onto others.

Don’t talk over people or dominate scenes. Let everyone have a voice.

Engage with what's happening around you, don’t crash scenes or interrupt unless it makes sense in a roleplay perspective.

Hostages must be real players, unrelated to your crew. No fake NPC hostages.

If you're downed, act wounded. No normal talking, no walking away like it's nothing.

If revived by EMS or staff, forget who downed you. Treat it like partial memory loss.

After death, wait 15 minutes before returning. Don't rejoin the same RP scene.

No teleporting, car fixing mid-race, ignoring /me or /do commands, etc.

Don’t send your Civic off Mt. Chiliad. Use common sense and acknowledge damage.

These sorts of roleplays need to be handled with care. Please refrain from being extreme, and handle it gracefully and it will be fine.

Don’t force players to act a certain way. RP is a two-way street.

No pulling people out of their RP for attention or ambushes. Be mature.

Disconnecting to avoid jail, death, or a scene = ban. Crashes happen, but communicate via Discord.

If your character didn't learn it in RP, you can’t use it. Don’t use stream info, Discord chats, or DMs in-character.

Using third-party comms (Discord, etc.) is fine, just don’t use them to cheat RP or avoid in-game systems like radios.

Don't be that guy. Targeting players just due to the fact they are streaming is not allowed.

Keep in-character conflicts in-character. Do not bring outside conflicts into your characters situation.
